If possible it’s best to allow 5 – 8 months before your special day to order a gown. This will allow enough time for the manufacture, shipment as well as alteration of your gown to ensure a perfect fit. Our lead times vary between 1 – 5 months, depending on stock availability at the supplier so we will try our best to accommodate you. Question 4. What is the difference between White, Ivory, Off White and Diamond White?

The colour of your wedding dress should be complementary to your features as well as your wedding theme and colour scheme. It is recommended that olive, tan or dark complexion brides should opt for stark white whereas ivory or diamond white is much more complementary for fairer or paler skin tones.

White is your purest, starkest shade of white throughout the colour spectrum.
Ivory or Off White you’ll clearly notice a soft yellow undertone. Ivory generally portrays a vintage romantic feeling whereas white will leave you with a more modern look. Keep in mind that shades will vary from designer to designer.

Question 5. What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring pictures of dresses you’ve seen on our website, Pinterest, in magazines or that you’ve tried on elsewhere. Be sure to wear light coloured underwear and perhaps a strapless bra to be able to get the best idea when fitting different necklines. Lastly relax, enjoy the fitting and leave the rest up to us.

Question 6. Who should I bring with to my appointment?

It is advised that you bring the person closest to you whose opinion you value like a sister, best friend or mother, who knows you well and with whom you want to share the experience of buying your wedding dress. Bringing too many can take the focus off of you and confuse you. If you wish to bring a large bridal party it is advised to do so during your second complementary fitting.
